Throwing Games Away
Three runners doubled off - that's an entire inning given away.
Botched bunt plays to third and first.
Squandering lead-off doubles.
Caught stealing at third just before the would-be RBI single.
Letting a pitcher with an apparent aversion to the strike zone off the hook.
The Jays played about as bad a game as you can play in Philly yesterday, and still only lost 5-3. After the disastrous start to May, the losses of Johnson, Zaun, Ryan, Halladay and everything short of a plague of locusts, the team seemed to have righted the ship. But they're not nearly talented enough to get away with as many mistakes as they made on Sunday.
