September 7, 2007 The Little Red Machine will attempt to defend their title, having clinched a berth in the 2007 Mosquito Championship. One more game to go before the championship. Recaps and schedule are updated.

September 26, 2006 The trophy room and history pages are updated, as well as a new picture on the home page, courtesy of The York Guardian. Did you know the Reds are now 20 games over .500 lifetime?
September 22, 2006 It's the first of the post-season updates, as we finally unveil the 2006 Championship roster. Check out the roster page and meet the Reds. A new banner is hanging in the trophy room. As for the individual awards, they'll have to wait, since we won so darned many of them...

August 31, 2004 It's been a while between updates, but the Reds finished the regular season with a number of close games, and look to even our playoff series with the Cardinals at a game apiece. The recaps and schedule are updated, and the trophy room has been updated with a rare feat that a pair of Reds pulled off last season.
July 28, 2004 The Reds enjoyed a big week, going 4-0 to run the team's record to 9-11. Smytheparkreds.com also received its 1500th visitor since the counter was installed. The recaps and schedule have been updated.
July 23, 2004 The Reds snapped off a 5-game losing streak by sweeping a Sunday afternoon double header. Players are starting to drift back from vacation, and we may actually have a lineup and a bench soon. Our latest game featured a big comeback win over the Dodgers.
July 12, 2004 Yikes. So THESE are the dog days of summer. Two players in Thunder Bay, one in Montreal, one in Malta, one in New Jersey and one with a broken wrist. Decimated by vacations and injuries, the Reds have been fielding about 7.5 players per game lately, and just trying to get through the month without defaulting. On the bright side, we've added another player, and she's going to be a good one. Recaps and schedule pages are updated.
June 16, 2004 Even with three of our top hitters out of the lineup, the Little Red Machine kept rolling, with a 16-6 win over the Dodgers. Recaps and schedule are updated.
June 11, 2004 The Reds split a home and home series with the first place Pirates, putting up 21 runs in the second game, the most we've scored in ... well, a long time. The recaps and coaches pages are updated.
June 6, 2004 After a 1-5 May, the Little Red Machine is heating up, pounding the ball in recent games and scoring 9, 11 and 15 runs. How high can we go? After roughing up Dodgers pitching for 26 runs in two games, we're still not quite hitting on all cylinders yet. Be afraid... be very afraid.
May 25, 2004 The 2004 season is officially underway. The Reds are 1-4 so far, but the record belies the big improvements we've seen both on the mound and at the plate in recent games. Recaps and the schedule are updated.
March 28, 2004 Well, it's been awhile. The season didn't end exactly as we'd envisioned, but we still enjoyed a record setting year and had a great time. The recaps of our last 6 games are finally posted, as is the 2003 roster. The trophy room is updated with a shiny new banner, and updated records. On the history page we have both the 2003 team photo and the long-lost 1993 picture. Also posted is the 2002 Team of the Week picture from the Toronto Sun. On the coaches page, we have two new coaches, while two more have been inducted in the Hall of Fame.

August 12, 2003
That's right, after a 12-5 win over the Cardinals, the Reds have clinched first place. This is the first time we've ever had the best record in the league in a single division format. The 16th win is also a new club record. The recaps, schedule and standings pages are all updated.
August 1, 2003 The win streak has reached 11. 15 wins tie the regular season record. All 15 Reds have now hit the ball this season, no small feat in Mosquito houseleague. The Reds are on the brink of clinching the pennant. If this is just a beautiful dream, don't wake us 'til October.
July 23, 2003 There's been quite a bit of activity since the last update. A pair of Cardinals games have been postponed due to rain and scheduling conflicts. On Friday, July 11, the York Pioneers rep teams trekked down to SkyDome to play for 2 hours - the reward for a fundraiser. Four Reds - Andrew, Bryan, John and Kyle - took part, as well as eight Reds alumni at the Peewee and Bantam levels. Highlights included Kyle striking out a Peewee player, and making a diving stab of a line drive, and converting it into a double play with a strong throw to John. Bryan got a good workout behind the plate with the major league distance backstop. All 4 Reds scored at least one run. We should have pictures posted soon.
Back in the land of houseleague, the Reds continue to roll, sweeping the season series against the tough Pirates and establishing a new team record with 9 straight wins. The Reds are 13-1 and comfortably in first place. The thirteen wins rank second in team history. And guess what? The Reds are now above .500 as a franchise. Combining regular season and playoff games, the team is now 122-119-14 all-time.
July 9, 2003 7 in a row, as the Reds bats just keep going and going...
July 5, 2003 Six straight wins for the Reds, after toppling the Pirates 10-8. Recaps and schedule are updated.
June 27, 2003 More than a week off didn't affect the Little Red Machine, as they beat the Dodgers 16-6, thanks to some brand new pitching help. The recaps are updated, and so is the schedule, with 3 changes in July. It's going to be a busy month.
June 13, 2003 Pitching depth and a 7-run outburst keyed a Reds win over the Cardinals. The recaps are updated, and so is the schedule with some important changes.
June 8, 2003 The Reds picked up a new player this week, as Reema debuted and, except for a little experiment switch-hitting, did just fine in her first game, a 12-7 win over the Dodgers. Read all about it in the recaps.
June 3, 2003 A great all around effort by the Little Red Machine kicked off June. Hitting, pitching and defense was all present in a big win over the Yankees. The recaps and schedule are updated.
May 31, 2003 The Reds completed the month of June at 5-1, in their brand new Reds jerseys. We followed up a tight loss to the Cardinals with a big hitting performance against the Dodgers, on a damp night with bugs swarming in the outfield. The schedule and recaps have been updated.
May 23, 2003 The Reds celebrated their first game played in sunshine (woohoo!) with a 13-9 win over the Yankees. The schedule and recaps are updated.
May 15, 2003 Despite some inattentive defense, the Reds picked up a 3rd straight win, beating the Pirates 6-3. Details can be found in the recaps section.
May 14, 2003 The Reds continued their assault on pitching against the Yankees, in a game that featured the team's first home run since 2000. Thanks to our 2002 team captain and MVP Adam Chapman, for donating the bat. The schedule and recaps are updated.
May 12, 2003 The 2003 season is here, and the Reds are back in action, complete with a pair of new coaches and a host of new players. The website has a fresh coat of paint and is ready for its eighth year of operation.
Smythe Park Red Sox??? Hmmm. Imagine our surprise when we saw our brand new white, blue and red shirts emblazoned with the name Red Sox. We're an understanding bunch, but you don't spit in the wind, you don't tug on Superman's cape, and you don't mess with the identity of a sporting tradition. Replacement jerseys are on the way...
Despite the alien uniforms, the Reds looked just fine on Opening Day, clicking on all cylinders in a big win over the Cardinals. The recaps, schedule, standings, history and coaches pages are all updated, with more website spring cleaning on the way.
